Social Groups and Media Research Lab
Our research focuses on the social psychological study of intergroup relations, specifically in the context of contemporary social issues. There are two main lines of research: firstly, we seek the theoretical underpinnings and practical aspects of effective methods of prejudice reduction; secondly, we investigate the conditions of social change oriented collective action. Our research has both theoretical and practical implications, and we seek solutions to the problems of antigypsyism, antisemitism, xenophobia, and sexism, in the changing technological and societal context of contemporary society. We collaborate with other research and higher education institutions in Hungary and internationally, and disseminate our results both within academia and to the broader public.
